About Jonathan
I've always been drawn to projects that blur disciplines. Sometimes that means directing a national campaign, sometimes animating miniature worlds frame by frame, and other times designing collector products, experimenting with AI filmmaking or picking up a camera. I enjoy moving between analogue craft and emerging technology, choosing the right medium for the idea rather than forcing the idea into a particular medium.
Whether working with agencies, brands or directly with clients, my focus is always the same: create work that feels distinctive, thoughtful and genuinely memorable.
I believe good design starts with an idea, not a style. Every project deserves its own visual language. I'm drawn to people who are curious, willing to experiment and excited by the unexpected.
The projects I enjoy most are the ones where no obvious solution exists. They're the projects that require experimentation, collaboration and occasionally inventing a new process altogether.
Outside of Work
When I'm not working with clients you'll usually find me photographing nature, building miniature sets, experimenting with analogue and emerging animation techniques, mentoring students or developing original film concepts.
